Welcome to THE INDIA GATE
A large 42-metre gate soars into the Delhi sky.
This monument was built in 1931 to commemorate the fallen Indian soldiers. It is one of the most important monuments of the city on a historical level even if, live, it does not convey the emotion that one might expect.
The area is very touristy, therefore crowded with street vendors with boxes full of incense, women selling jewelry and other items.
